Product Description
Uses the Sentinel 3100 measures to a wide variety of materials in a Class 1, Division 2 area.
The rugged, cast housing is epoxy-coated for corrosion resistance. Mounting bosses allow installation to sightglasses or an walls.
The Sentinel 3100 measures to any surface or material, including granular and coarse solids, liquid slurries and pastes.
The accuracy of measurements is not affected by: temperature of material, varying pressure barriers, angle of repose, proces tank obstacles/build-up, varying stratified vapour layers, acoustically absorbing materials, small tank diameters, tall tanks and materials with low dielectric constants.

Product Feature

• Eye Safety : Will not harm the naked eye when used in normal operation. See specifications.
• Programmable : Field programmable internal features include : unit of measurement, warning codes, number of readings/sec, Windowing/blanking settins, and analog limits. Programming is via the RS-232 serial port using a computer and any communications program, or Optech's optional handheld remote display/programmer.
• Data Outputs : 4-20 mA and RS422.
• No Calibration Required : The rangefinder is factory calibrated for absolute readings. No further field adjustments are required.
• Automatic Self-Diagnostics : On power-up, the instrument conducts extensive internal diagnostics.
• Automatic Signal Processing : Return signals are analyzed and verified; warning codes report anomalous signals or equipment failure.
• Dynamic Accuracy : Range and accuracy measurements are unaffected by materials that are being agitated. Measurements can be timed to avoid interference from agitator blades.
• Quick Commissioning and Troubleshooting : The visible laser pointer enables precise location of the infrared measuring laser, on the target.
